About Me

Hi, my name is Maia.

(She/her)

I love helping people.

With over 10 years of working in the social services profession, I have come to realize that what we are all looking for is safety, respect, and connection. My most favorite aspect of therapy is the way it changes and transforms both people in the room.

A word I’ve found to best describe therapy is: relationship.

Not only are we changing our relationship to ourselves, we get a beautiful opportunity to create a new kind of relationship with the people around us. The relationship you and I create together in the room is sacred. It can offer you so many moments to be brave, vulnerable, and find new ways to unlearn toxic patterns that you don’t need anymore.

Outside of being a therapist, I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, reader of books, and petter of cats. I love spending time with my wife and two kitties, collecting treasures on the beach, trying out new recipes, and nurturing my garden to grow and sprout.

I received my M.A in Counseling Psychology from Saybrook University, and my B.A in Sociology from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington: LH61374868.
